The good folks at Lynda.com have put up a dozen screencasts (totaling altogether just over 50 minutes), providing walkthroughs of What’s New in the ColdFusion 8 Beta Preview!
These are a great way to get up to speed quickly. You can find them all right here:

Oh sweet irony … just 5 days after a spurious article included ColdFusion among a list of “dead (or dying) computer skills” Adobe systems has made available a preview release of ColdFusion 8 up on labs.adobe.com
If you have never heard of ColdFusion (lol), this product really is worth taking a look. Now really a suite of products, ColdFusion is arguably both among the most powerful and affordable rapid application development programming environments in the world. If you need to deliver data over the web, ColdFusion continues to solidly deliver the goods and continues to offer solid value even when compared to open source and other free rivals (PHP, Java, .NET, etc.)
Want to take ColdFusion 8 for spin? You can download it here:

Or, even easier, HostMySite.com is offering FREE ColdFusion 8 hosting for the remainder of the ColdFusion 8 beta! For details see:

As Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain, is famously quoted as saying: The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.
